Netanyahu to headline JFNA General Assembly in November
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will headline the 2013 Jewish
Federations of North America General assembly in Jerusalem in November,
the umbrella organization announced on Wednesday.
"We are deeply honored that Prime Minister Netanyahu will join us at this year’s General Assembly," said Michael Siegal, chair of the JFNA Board of Trustees. "We greatly value this critical opportunity to hear the prime minister's unique perspectives on Israel and the global Jewish agenda."
Thousands of Jews from across the globe will convene at the GA to celebrate Israel’s 65th anniversary and explore the Jewish State’s most compelling issues, the dynamics of the Israel-Diaspora relationship, and the impact of Jewish Federations. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s GA appearance will also mark the culmination of the Jewish Agency's Assembly in Jerusalem, which will run Nov. 7-10.
“We look forward to every GA for the opportunity to gather together and generate new insights into a wide range of important issues, but the GA in Israel also provides the profound experience of sharing and learning in the Jewish homeland,” said JFNA’s President and CEO, Jerry Silverman.
